CERAMICS
My ceramic pieces are mostly hand built. Many are hand painted. The balls in particular are, in part, my continued exploration of painting three-dimensionally. I use a huge variety of clay bodies, firing options such as wood, salt, soda, raku, etc. and a relentless exploration of surface. Many balls can be hung from a wall and combined to create a cohesive 3D piece.
